From a small workshop in Dongguan to a global leader in panel furniture equipment and smart manufacturing - this is how Nanxing Machinery built its legacy.
The Early Days:Breaking Into the Industry(1996-2010)
In 1996, Nanxing Machinery started as a modest woodworking machinery workshop in Dongguan, Guangdong. Back then, China’s furniture manufacturing industry was booming, but domestic equipment makers were few and far between. Most high-end machines were imported - expensive, hard to service, and not always suited to local production needs.
Nanxing Machinery saw the gap and moved fast.
By 1997, the company had already developed its first product lineup: spindle molders, cold presses, high-speed routers, manual edge banders, and precision panel saws. A year later, it built its first 1,100-square-meter factory. By 2002, Nanxing Machinery launched China’s first domestically produced automatic straight-line edge banding machine - a milestone that put the company on the map.
The 2000s were about proving that Chinese-made woodworking machinery could match international standards. Nanxing Machinery earned ISO 9001 certification, CE marking for the European market, and the “National High-Tech Enterprise” designation. The company also introduced China’s first heavy-duty rear-loading high-speed computer panel saw (NPL330H) and high-speed wood composite machining centers - products that previously had to be imported at premium prices.
By 2010, Nanxing Machinery had built a full product ecosystem: panel saws, edge banders, drilling centers, and CNC routers. It had also laid the groundwork for something bigger.
Going Public:Scaling Up and Going Smart(2011-2017)
In 2011, Nanxing Machinery restructured into a joint-stock company and began preparing for an IPO. Three years later, it became the first listed company in China’s panel furniture machinery sector, debuting on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s SME board in 2015.
The capital injection fueled rapid expansion. The company launched double-end edge banders (NB6S2), introduced China’s first “custom furniture three-piece set” (panel saw + edge bander + drilling center bundled with design and nesting software), and pioneered four-end edge banding lines integrated with boring machines.
Smart manufacturing became the new focus. In 2012, Nanxing Machinery implemented a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). By 2016, Nanxing Machinery had developed China’s first through-feed drilling center, bringing true automation to furniture production lines. Nanxing Machinery also launched its first CNC nesting machine, applying CNC technology - long standard in metalworking - to woodworking for the first time in a meaningful way.
By 2017, Nanxing Machinery had introduced the six-sided CNC drilling center (NCB2412), the industry’s first high-speed, fully automatic software-optimized drilling machine. Revenue from intelligent equipment alone surpassed 500 million RMB, with exports reaching over 30 countries.
Dual-Engine Growth: Woodworking + Cloud Computing(2018-2022)
In 2018, Nanxing Machinery made a bold move: it acquired Weiyi Network, a data center and cloud computing provider, giving the company a second growth engine in IDC and cloud services. The company established an East China production base in Wuxi and later a South China base in Shaoguan.
On the woodworking side, innovation accelerated. Nanxing Machinery introduced soft-forming edge banders (NB875), magnetic levitation through-feed drilling centers (N2508), and fully servo flexible intelligent edge banders (NB8-SMART). Nanxing Machinery also pioneered automated loading and unloading systems for six-sided drilling centers - a first in China.
The fully automated production model of “zero floor contact for workpieces” has been fully realized. By 2021, Nanxing Machinery was accredited as a national-level Specialized, Refined, Differential and Innovative Little Giant Enterprise — an authoritative official honor granted by the Chinese government to recognize high-performing, technology-driven SMEs with professional strengths, refined management, unique features and innovative capabilities. Meanwhile, the company ranked 318th among China’s Top 500 Machinery Enterprises. Its self-built T3+ green data center in Dongguan was officially put into operation, further consolidating its dual-core development strategy of intelligent woodworking machinery and cloud computing services.
In 2022, Nanxing Machinery pushed speed boundaries with 45-meter-per-minute high-speed fully servo flexible intelligent edge banders (NB10-Smart / NB9-Smart series) and high-speed double-end edge banders (NB825 / NB826 series) - setting new benchmarks for the industry.
The AI Era: Leading Globally(2023-2026)
Today, Nanxing Machinery stands as the only domestic Chinese manufacturer capable of producing flexible squaring intelligent edge banding lines and batch squaring four-end edge banding lines — technologies previously blocked by international competitors.

In 2024, Nanxing Machinery established its Automation Project Department, bringing smart workstation systems and automation products fully in-house. Major lighthouse factory projects were delivered for industry leaders including De Rucci (East China smart factory) and Suofeiya Industry 4.0E.
By 2025, Nanxing Machinery’s lighthouse factory portfolio had expanded to over 20 projects across China and Southeast Asia, including Thailand. The NX Machinery Intelligent Production Base (Phase I) broke ground, signaling the next chapter of manufacturing scale.
Nanxing Machinery has also been certified as a National Green Factory by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and passed AA-level certification under the GB/T 23001-2022 integrated informatization and industrialization management system.
A New Chapter: The 30th Anniversary and Future Strategy(May 2026)
On May 30, 2026, Nanxing Machinery celebrated its 30th anniversary in grand style. Industry elites, core partners, premier clients, and supplier representatives from around the world gathered to witness the milestone — alongside people from all walks of life who have walked hand in hand with NX Machinery through thick and thin over the past three decades.
Taking this as a fresh start, the company unveiled its new future development strategy.
Founder Lin Wannan’s Reflections

In his anniversary speech, Founder Lin looked back on the journey: since its inception in 1996, Nanxing Machinery has evolved from a single woodworking machinery manufacturer into a main-board listed enterprise with a global footprint. Over 11 years since its IPO, annual revenue surged from 464 million RMB to 3.412 billion RMB. The company now holds 916 patents and software copyrights.
The strategic acquisition of Weiyi Cloud and expansion into digital infrastructure has driven a 7x growth in that business sector over seven years, establishing a highly robust dual-core growth pattern.
Mr. Lin thanked all employees, customers, partners, shareholders, and the broader community, reaffirming Nanxing Machinery’s core values: innovation-driven, quality-first, integrity, and customer-centricity.
